I've had The Time Traveler's Wife on my shelf for quite some time already, but it wasn't until I saw the trailer for the upcoming movie that I really felt compelled to read it. I do that a lot, sometimes I hear about a good book or read good reviews or become interested by the back cover, that I end up buying the book but can't read it right away; then I read or see something else that makes me interested again and I have to start right away. It happened with Twilight too. I remember I was on Amazon looking for good books to buy and I came upon this book with hands holding an apple on the cover, read the summary and first chapter and got hooked. I think New Moon wasn't even out. I saved it on my wishlist and always thought of buying it, but I can't buy things on a whim from Amazon, because shipping costs a lot to me... after a while, I read a review of the first two books on my flist (I think New Moon had been just released) and had to immediately buy them!

On the subject of movies, I'm pretty excited for HBP! Weird, right? I HATED the book. When was it released? Can't remember, but I read the last two books last year again for the second time (a rare fact, since the previous books I read like 4 times each, and the second time usually just after reading it for the first time) and decided that I didn't HATE the book as much, only felt indifferent towards it, since I didn't care anymore about the pairings 'cause I knew what would happen. When I focused on Harry and the trio as a TRIO (not potentional couples) I enjoyed it a bit more. And the movie looks so good!

All that is left of HP are the movies and the fandom. In fandom, I could say I changed ships to Draco/Hermione since I haven't read a H/Hr fic since what feels like forever. I still like H/Hr, just don't read their fic anymore. So, on this subject, I'd like to rec a D/Hr fic called The Fallout by Sage. I love it. Draco and Hermione are so in character, the author is really talented in that she makes you feel emotionally invested in the story. There are a lot of touching scenes. Well, just give it a try and you'll see.

I'm pretty sure most of you have already seen the video of Susan Boyle in Britain's Got Talent show. I love watching this kind of talent shows (though I hate the shows where the judges are mean) because I'm always inspired by these people who have been living simple and unknown lives, although they have amazing talents; they either didn't have the opportunity, or had to give up their chance in favor of a job with more security, that would provide for their families, and I'm touched by how they never gave up on their dreams, even though they chose not to (or couldn't) act upon them.

Brazil also has these shows, and I'm constantly amazed by how many wonderful talents there are in this country and never get the chance to be in the spotlight. We have a lot of terrible musicians who are famous because of their sexy dances or stupid lyrics while these people with REAL voices are hidden. I get goosebumps whenever I listen to them. However, one of the things that I don't like is when the contestants choose an english song and are unable to sing the lyrics correctly, I mean, they just make the sounds (amazing sounds, true) and get the lyrics all wrong, and that's sort of distracting for someone who knows english. Still, it doesn't stop them from being good at singing.

So, the point to this post is to show you one of our brazilian talents. There are many of them, but I won't put a video of one of them singing an english song 'cause I'm sure you'd be as distracted as I was when I listened to them; for that reason I chose one singing in italian. I bet someone who speaks italian would hear the errors, if there are any, but that's not my case so I'm putting this on.



LOL. I loooove watching the judges's faces.

And while searching for more BGT, I found this one which is very similiar to the brazilian. They're singing the same song. I don't know which one is the best, but it's undeniable that both are amazing, right? Though I prefer the english guy myself, he seems more humble and shy, I don't know.



I bet this guy got a lot of attention, but why haven't I heard about him before?

So that's it for today. Hope everyone's well. I have a long weekend ahead (no classes on monday and tuesday, yay!), and I hope I'll be able to find something else to do other than stay all day in front of the computer. Seriously, how was I able to spend DAYS on the internet, without going outside? Well, tonight I'll probably go out with a friend and tomorrow is my mom's birthday party so at least until then I'll have something to do. Oh, and on Sunday I'm going to the amusiment park with friends!

Hey everyone.. I managed to arrive safely in Argentina and I've been having a good and calm time. I already went to the movies with my grandma, visited family, went to doctors (yeah.. here too) and today I have to buy my grandma's birthday present and buy some winter clothes. (hopefully.. 'cause I depend on my dad who's working on building a house for my grandma)
